Biopsy of embryo or oocyte

On each embryo development day the biopsy checkbox will be available (if chosen in your configuration). The button ">" next to the checkbox opens a new window where it is possible to enter data about the biopsy (see more below).

Day 0 & Day 1

It is possible to record PGT data on Day 0 or Day 1. On both days the following will be available:

- Sign & Time - The person responsible for the biopsy and time of biopsy.
- Method - The type of biopsy (for example, "Polar Body").
- Procedure - How the biopsy was performed.
- Note - Any other information regarding the biopsy.
- PGT Note - Record details about the PGT.

Optional parameters for day 0 and day 1:

- Location - Where the PGT was performed.
- PGT-M - Specify if PGT-M was performed and what the result was.
- PGT_SR - Specify if PGT-SR was performed and what the result was.

Day 2 & Day 3

It is possible to record PGT data on Day 2 and Day 3. On both days the following will be available:

- Sign & Time - The person responsible for the biopsy and time of biopsy.
- Method - The type of biopsy (for example, "Blastomere").
- Procedure - How the biopsy was performed.
- Cells biopsies - Numbers of cells extracted in the biopsy.
- Cells remaining - Number of cells remaining in the blastomere.
- Note - Any other information regarding the biopsy.
- PGT Note - Record details about the PGT.

Optional parameters for day 2 and day 3:

- Location - Where the PGT was performed.
- PGT-A - Specify if PGT-A was performed and what the result was.
- PGT-M - Specify if PGT-M was performed and what the result was.
- PGT_SR - Specify if PGT-SR was performed and what the result was.

Rebiopsy will be available on day 2 - day 6, for both fresh and FER cycles.

Day 4 - Day 6

It is possible to record PGT data on Day 2 and Day 3. On both days the following will be available:

- Sign & Time - The person responsible for the biopsy and time of biopsy.
- Method - The type of biopsy (for example, "Trosphectoderm").
- Procedure - How the biopsy was performed.
- Note - Any other information regarding the biopsy.
- PGT Note - Record details about the PGT.

Summary of latest biopsy result in Patients

From Version 4.11 a new tab on the Embryo page of "Patients" displays the latest result of a biopsy (for each type of PGT).

Embryo biopsy - PGD/PGS

General biopsy information

In order for you to be able to mark the embryo as biopsied, the Biopsy  flag needs to be set in the Configuration Order.

The check box is available on day 3 to day 6.
Each day has a day specific check box for biopsy.

Independent of which day or days a biopsy has been performed, an indicator "star" is set on the embryo row to indicate that a biopsy has been performed.

When biopsy is performed on a specific day, a check box is checked and a popover window button will be displayed.

The popover window will display information about the biopsy.

PGD

If PGD is to be performed on the biopsied cells, a flag Biopsy_PGD must first be set in the configuration order.

On day 3, the number of cells biopsied can be recorded.

On day 4 to 6, you can record if the biopsy was a re biopsy and if it was from a fresh or thawed embryo/blastocyst.
Biopsy_PGD

PGS

If PGS is to be performed on the biopsied cells, a flag Biopsy_PGS must first be set in the configuration order.

After this flag has been set, you can record the screening result for the embryo.
Biopsy_PGS

PGD and PGS

If you perform both PGD and PGS, the two flags can be set to display both alternatives.
